“Downtown is a pretty compact area to explore by foot or bus. There are three main 'hotel' districts within the city. The main area of downtown is the Pike/Pine corridor bordered approximately by 1st to 8th Ave and from Pine to James Street.”
“We recently stayed at the Inn at the Market. Our room was a city view and it was fine but I had the opportunity to see one of the harbour view rooms and it was so much nicer. If you're going to stay at the Inn at the Market, spring for one of the harbour rooms. The service was fabulous and the location perfect!”
“My instinct was to say in downtown. That's where all of the good hotels are.“
“I always stay in the Seattle Center. This place is where is Space Needle and is located close to downtown. From Seattle Center, downtown is very easy and cheap to get to by the monorail or surface bus.”
Four Seasons Hotel Seattle: “I stayed for three nights on business. Got a corner room with two double beds. Good views on both sides. Good sized room. Fantastic bathroom. Quality fixtures. Wonderful professional service. The hotel is within walking distance to mostly everything. Seattle downtown is a really nice walking downtown. Would definitely stay here again”
The Fairmont Olympic Seattle: “I stayed here with my mother before an Alaksa cruise. Upon entering the hotel, we loved the ornate lobby. Our room was absolutely beautiful and very functional. We had a very nice lunch at a seafood restaurant that is part of the hotel, and finally, upon the morning of departure, I used the swimming pool. I'd definitely stay here again if I was coming through Seattle.”
Inn at the Market: “The hotel was very well positioned, with regards to the downtown area. Close walking distance to the light rail, which we caught from the airport. The room was very clean. For a first time in the US, it was a great place to start the journey.”
Pann Pacific Seattle: “I really like the Pan Pacific Seattle. We had stayed here 2 years ago and found our second visit as enjoyable as the first. In fact, the neighborhood has evolved a bit only improving the experience. The location of the hotel is what I would call city fringe. You can easily walk to Pike Place Market and to other city spots.”
Mayflowers Park: “The hotel has a great location in downtown Seattle. Within walking distance to major attractions and retail. The hotel has been nicely renovated with comfortable seating areas and good lighting, sometimes a rarity in hotels. The hotel is clean and staff is very accommodating. There is complimentary wi-fi and, if you need them, computers available to guests. There are plenty of places nearby to get a light meal. For dinner, one night, we wanted a casual dinner and the concierge directed us to the Icon Grill, a restaurant with a wide variety of choices.”
Hotel Monaco Seattle: “The many extra touches and great staff made our stay in Seattle really memorable. The decor was charming and the room extremely comfortable and clean. The location is perfect for walking around downtown. The food in the restaurant was delicious, and the service was excellent. They are care and it shows in every detail.”
The Sorrento Hotel: “The Sorrento Hotel is beautiful and classy both inside and out. Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed. Everything about the Sorrento is first class. Also, it is nicely situated on the top of a hill and is within easy walking distance of downtown. We walked to McCormick Schmick for dinner.”
Hotel Vintage Park: “Great hotel that is a bit away from the noise of downtown seattle. We stayed in a queen deluxe room which was perfect for our family of 3. Clean, comfortable , quiet room overlooking some trees. The weather was wonderful and our windows opened which was very nice to have. Beds were extra comfortable. The staff directed us to a really good steak house nearby. We walked down to the harbor area and enjoyed every minute. Room was wonderful and everyone helpful and friendly. Seattle is a great city and we will be back to stay at this hotel.”
The Paramount Hotel: “Great hotel in downtown seattle. The Paramount hotel is in a great location. It is within walking distance of the convention centre, the Paramount theater, Pike's place market and all sorts of shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is in an older building, but renovations have obviously kept it up to modern standards. The rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. The service provided by the front desk, and the concierge/bell desk/valet in particular, were top notch. Everyone was very friendly, and eager to pass on maps, coupons and recommendations for the local area. I would definitely go back.”

The location was good - everything was within walking distance. Rooms were well appointed and clean. Employees were friendly and courteous and the bed was excellent.”
Red Lion Hotel on fifth avenue Seattle: “Red Lion was an excellent choice. The location is outstanding; only a block and a half from the SeaTac light rail terminal and a very walkable four block from Pike Market. The attractive pub beneath the hotel, Elephant and Caslte, was very convenient for evening dining.”
Hotel Max: “Cute european-style hotel with lots of character. Love the whole atmosphere of the place. Tiny trendy and efficient rooms. We completely blown away by the staff. It is a great place to stay.”
Sixth Avenue Inn: “Great Price and great location. Older hotel in Downtown and walking distance to major attractions: Space Needle, Monorail, Pike Place. Stayed 3 nights over a long weekend. Room was very clean and had everything I needed. The restaurant is nice and well priced. The staff there is great. If you want luxury then probably not the place for you, but if you want a reasonably priced hotel with a great location and friendly staff, then stay here.”
Best western loyal Inn: “We spent two nights here just before heading on a cruise and it was really good for the price. The location is fine. Its a bit of a walk to the Walgreens of which we made good use. The staff were efficient. Suited our purpose.”
